Dr Susan Dim is an Occupational Health Physician currently serving with ExxonMobil, a leading international oil and gas company with operations based in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, in South-South Nigeria.
She is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, and holds fellowships from both the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) and the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCOG).
Dr Dim also holds a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos (CMUL), and a Diploma in Occupational Medicine (D.OccMed) from the Royal College of Physicians. She further earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Occupational Medicine from the University of Manchester (MSc. OccMed, Manch.).
She pioneered the Upstream Nigeria Telemedicine Pilot Project, the first of its kind within ExxonMobil, improving patient care delivery. She also initiated the Tuberculosis Control Programme, originally designed for offshore personnel and later expanded to cover onshore workers in congregate settings.
Dr Dim is a Subject Matter Expert in the use of the company’s Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, supporting both primary care and occupational health documentation, as well as emergency response.
She has served as Company Medical Review Officer (MRO) and currently functions as the Malaria Control Officer, overseeing implementation of the company’s Malaria Control Programme for both semi-immune and non-immune populations. Her portfolio includes:

Following the divestment and merger with Seplat Energy in December 2024, Dr Dim was appointed to lead the medical team across multiple company locations. She is now responsible for the rollout of comprehensive Occupational Health programmes, clinical and emergency response systems for employees in both onshore and offshore settings.
Beyond her professional obligations, Dr Susan Dim is deeply involved in philanthropy through her Rotary Club engagements. She served as Akwa Ibom State PolioPlus Chair for two consecutive years and is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Eket (RCE).
