WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2026 #WED2026 | #NowForClimate Official Theme: “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.” World Environment Day (WED) 2026 focuses on climate change, nature-based solutions, and the urgent signals our planet is sending—and, more importantly, the signals we choose to send in response. The mission is clear: a global call to action for individuals, communities, organizations, and governments to accelerate climate action and steer the world towards a more sustainable, resilient, and environmentally responsible future. The question is no longer whether change is coming—it is how humanity chooses to guide that change and how quickly we act.

SOEHPON South-South Zonal Chapter Interim Executive Committee Inauguration Ceremony in pics. 05.06.2026 On 5th June 2026, the SOEHPON South-South Zonal Chapter Interim Executive Committee was formally and successfully inaugurated by the SOEHPON National President Dr Musa Shaibu, marking another significant milestone in the growth, revitalization, and expansion of our great Society. Congratulations to the Newly Inaugurated Interim Executive Committee Members: Distinguished BoT Member and former SOEHPON President, Dr. Bamidele Koleowo, was in attendance to contribute to the success of this historic occasion.

SOEHPON Celebrates Members Inducted as 2025 ACOEM Fellows
SOEHPON proudly announces the induction of Dr. Anyanate Ephraim and Dr. Ngozi Obi as Fellows of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) at AOHC 2025. The society also recognized Dr. Ada Ogbuji, newly elected Speaker (2025–2026) of ACOEM’s House of Delegates, and Dr. Charles Babajide Onigbogi, continuing his roles in ACOEM’s International Council. SOEHPON President Dr. Musa Shaibu, alongside past leaders and global peers, celebrated the honorees, underscoring their contributions to advancing occupational health standards.
SOEHPON Partners with Lagos State for Yellow Fever Vaccination Campaign
SOEHPON has been appointed by the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board to co-lead a statewide Yellow Fever Vaccination Campaign, integrating Measles (0–59 months) and HPV (9–14 years) immunization. With 22 million Lagosians eligible, SOEHPON will mobilize workplaces to ensure high vaccine uptake among workers. As a key member of Lagos State’s health alliance, SOEHPON will provide real-time updates and strategies to optimize outreach. Dr. Charles Babajide Onigbogi (National P.R.O) urged members in Lagos to actively promote the campaign, emphasizing its critical impact on public health.
Nigerian Medical Students Association (NiMSA) Executives Pay Courtesy Visit to SOEHPON
The Nigerian Medical Students Association (NiMSA), led by National Secretary General Fortune Olaye, visited SOEHPON for a collaborative engagement. The SOEHPON Benin Caucus, including Dr. Uche Nwagbo (Manager, NMSL Benin) and the NMSL Management Team, hosted the event, while the National President (Dr. Musa Shaibu), National Secretary (Dr. Ayo Agboola), and other NEC members joined virtually.
