NIMSA Leadership Pays Courtesy Visit To SOEHPON

The Nigerian Medical Students Association (NiMSA), led by National Secretary General Fortune Olaye, visited SOEHPON for a collaborative engagement. The SOEHPON Benin Caucus, including Dr. Uche Nwagbo (Manager, NMSL Benin) and the NMSL Management Team, hosted the event, while the National President (Dr. Musa Shaibu), National Secretary (Dr. Ayo Agboola), and other NEC members joined virtually.

During the session, Dr. Shaibu presented an overview of SOEHPON’s mission and fielded questions from the students, reinforcing the society’s commitment to nurturing future occupational health leaders. NiMSA expressed gratitude for the opportunity to engage with SOEHPON’s leadership, highlighting the society’s pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s medical workforce.

I am an Occupational Physician, working as the NNPC OH strategy and standards officer at the Corporate OH Department, Abuja. I have received postgraduate trainings in occupational medicine and public health both in Nigeria and Overseas. I have held several positions in SOEHPON. I am currently the National Secretary. Prior to that, i had served as the Assistant PRO and the Treasurer of the Society. I have served on the Local Organising Committee (LoC) for SOEHPON`s Annual Scientific Conference from 2021 to date.
