SOEHPON proudly announces the induction of Dr. Anyanate Ephraim and Dr. Ngozi Obi as Fellows of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) at AOHC 2025. The society also recognized Dr. Ada Ogbuji, newly elected Speaker (2025–2026) of ACOEM’s House of Delegates, and Dr. Charles Babajide Onigbogi, continuing his roles in ACOEM’s International Council. SOEHPON President Dr. Musa Shaibu, alongside past leaders and global peers, celebrated the honorees, underscoring their contributions to advancing occupational health standards.
SOEHPON has been appointed by the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board to co-lead a statewide Yellow Fever Vaccination Campaign, integrating Measles (0–59 months) and HPV (9–14 years) immunization. With 22 million Lagosians eligible, SOEHPON will mobilize workplaces to ensure high vaccine uptake among workers. As a key member of Lagos State’s health alliance, SOEHPON will provide real-time updates and strategies to optimize outreach. Dr. Charles Babajide Onigbogi (National P.R.O) urged members in Lagos to actively promote the campaign, emphasizing its critical impact on public health.
The Nigerian Medical Students Association (NiMSA), led by National Secretary General Fortune Olaye, visited SOEHPON for a collaborative engagement. The SOEHPON Benin Caucus, including Dr. Uche Nwagbo (Manager, NMSL Benin) and the NMSL Management Team, hosted the event, while the National President (Dr. Musa Shaibu), National Secretary (Dr. Ayo Agboola), and other NEC members joined virtually.
